THE NEED FOR SUPRA-KIDS®
& SUPRAFIT®: |

The ideal micronutrient supplementation for
any society must take into consideration the peculiar
environment, diet and lifestyle of the people without which
some needs may not be met. SUPRA-KIDS® and
SUPRAFIT® were designed with the Nigerian
environment, diet and lifestyle in mind. |

SUPRA-KIDS |

SUPRA-KIDS are – chewable, orange-flavored tablets designed and produced in line with the
outcome of the International Workshop on Multi-Micronutrient
Deficiencies in the Life Cycle held in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil in 1999. This workshop concluded that the
"ideal"
delivery form for infants and young children would be a
tablet that tastes good and is easy to chew amongst other
features. SUPRA-KIDS® contains 10 (ten) essential
vitamins and an amino acid, Taurine. It’s formulation
combines adequately the micronutrients in the doses tailored
to the needs of the children aged 3 – 12 years. SUPRA-KIDS
is registered in the country by NAFDAC. The beetle
car-shaped tablets appeal to children a lot. |

SUPRAFIT |

SUPRAFIT® on the other hand,
is recommended for those aged 13 years and above. It
contains 11 essential vitamins and 9 minerals/trace
elements. SUPRAFIT® has a high content of vitamin
A and the B vitamins, which is ideal for our diet. This is
because our diet is usually reach in Carbohydrate and poor
in fish oils, carrot, spinach and other vitamin A containing
foods. SUPRAFIT® is equally good for the upbeat
life –style of our youth which requires a lot of energy and
for our environment which is poor in infrastructure. |
